ÅstorpGround: Bjärshögs Idrottsplats Visits: 1 Date: 19th September 2021 Match: Åstorps FF - Borstahusen 2-0 (Division 4 Skåne Nordvästra) Attendance: 170 I was busy playing table tennis (Kristianstad Open) on Saturday afternoon but with Åstorp hosting Borstahusen in Division 4 Skåne Nordvästra on Sunday afternoon I still had an interesting football match to look forward to this weekend. After 12 rounds (out of 22) Åstorps FF and Borstahusens BK are level on points at the top of table. With only one team being promoted (no play-offs this season) there were plenty at stake in this top of the table clash. Åstorp is around 70 minutes by car from Kristianstad and 50 minutes prior to kick-off I parked my car outside the ground. Åstorps FF were founded in 1996 as a merger between Åstorps IF and Nyvångs GIF and the club plays at Bjärshögs IP in Åstorp. As I entered one of the locals asked I was the referee but I assured him I was not. There is a decent sized stand on the east side but it is a bit too far from the pitch for my liking. As this was 1st v 2nd I was hoping for a good attendance and in total around 170 spectators showed up, slightly disappointing but maybe I was too optimistic. Åstorp quickly took control of this match and in the 1st half they had several good chances to score. No goals though and still 0-0 at half-time. In the 2nd half the sun suddenly appeared and with conditions being colder than expected I appreciated seeing the sun again. Åstorp were the better team in this half as well and when the final whistle was blown it was 2-0 on the score-board. Still plenty of matches to be played but for now Åstorp are three points clear at the top. ![]() Entrance Club badges South End West Stand West Stand A closer look at the West Stand North End East side Kick-off View of play View of play West Stand (note the dog) West Stand Dog View of play View of play East side East side East side |
