NordsjællandGround: Farum Park Visits: 1 Date: 18th July 2009 Match: Nordsjælland - FC København 2-0 (Superligaen) Attendance: 5 745
In 1991 Farum Idræts Klub and Stavnsholt Boldklub merged and formed the new club Farum Boldklub. With major financial backing the club reached Superligaen in 2002 and a year later the club changed its name to FC Nordsjælland. The ground, Farum Park, has been gradually redeveloped and nowdays have a capacity of 10,000. All four stands are of similar height and the ground has a "box like" feeling. Farum is situated just north of Copenhagen and even if FC Nordsjælland don´t have much support a derby against FCK is a big crowd-puller and for today´s opening day fixture 5 745 showed up, slightly less than I expected though. Nordsjælland scored after only three minutes and 20 minutes later they were 2-0 up against the reigning Danish champions. Despite many chances FCK failed to score and the game ended 2-0 to the home team.
