Ramlösa SödraGround: Hedens Idrottsplats Visits: 1 Date: 18th August 2012 Match: Ramlösa Södra - Assyriska 0-7 (Svenska Cupen) Attendance: 121
Ramlösa Södra FF was founded in 2007 as a merger between Helsingborg Södra and Ramlösa FF. Helsingborg Södra used to played in red and Ramlösa BoIS in blue, so it is logical that new club colours were chosen as red and blue stripes. The club play at Hedens Idrottsplats in southern Helsingborg and for me it was a bit difficult to find the ground. I went to an athletics ground named "Hedens IP" but when I asked if this was the venue for today´s match in Svenska Cupen (round 2) they looked at me and said "Öhh, no, We have a boccia tournament at this ground today." I was by now quite confused but a helpful man came to my rescue. "If you are looking for Ramlösa Södra they play at another ground further down the road". The football ground was around 400 metres from the athletics ground but had the same name. Once at the football ground, some 40 minutes prior to kick-off, it was difficult to notice any signs of a football match but eventually the teams were on the pitch warming-up. Since it was 25 degrees they didn´t have to work to hard to be "warm". I also found out I had used the wrong entrance. In fact it wasn´t an entrance but there was an open gate and I thought this was the way to the ground. The proper entrance turned out to be on the other side. Hedens IP only have two small stands on the west side of the ground. Behind the goal on the south end there is a small hill from where you had a decent view. The other two sides only have a small fence.
As I wrote above Ramlösa Södra vs Assyriska was a match in the 2nd round of the Swedish Cup. In total there were some 25 Assyriska fans but I guess most of them actually live in Helsingborg. The match was very one-sided. Assyriska were 2-0 up at half-time and in the 2nd half they scored and scored again. They were simply too good for Ramlösa Södra and the match finished 7-0 to the visitors from Södertälje. For Assyriska it was nice to win an easy match and score some goals but for Ramlösa Södra it is back to the relegation fight in Division 2 Södra Götaland. They are currently two points from a relegation play-off place. After my visit today I now only have one more ground (Övrevi in Tvååker) left to complete the most southern of the six Division 2 leagues in Sweden.
