AIK AtlasGround: Havsvallen Visits: 1 Date: 26th April 2025 Match: AIK Atlas - Nättraby GoIF 1-2 (Division 4 Blekinge) Attendance: 100 When the 2024 season ended I only had one ground, Havsvallen, left to visit in order to complete Division 4 Blekinge. Situated next to the Baltic Sea (“hav” means sea/ocean) on the island of Sturkö far out in the Karlskrona archipelago I knew it was a gem I was missing. When the forecast for Saturday said sunshine I decided it was time to go to Sturkö for AIK Atlas v Nättraby. After 1h 45 min in the car I arrived at the ground almost an hour before kick-off. Plenty of roadworks on the way meant I set off extra early but the journey went without any delays. I went down to the sea to take some pictures before entering the ground. Havsvallen really was as nice as I had hoped for but being only 10-15 metres from the Baltic Sea it can probably be a bit chilly on a windy day in the autumn. As I was taking my pictures the young ultras, a common scene in Sweden nowadays, asked me who I was and then promised me smoke bombs would be set off during the game! They had found a great spot on a rock in one of the corners of Havsvallen and did their best to generate an atmosphere during the game. Both teams have lost their opening two games and in front of around 100 spectators it was the visitors from Nättraby who started the better team and at half-time they were deservedly 2-0 up. A poor first half from AIK Atlas but in the second half they played better and managed to pull a goal back. Nättraby had several really good chances to score more goals and although AIK Atlas tried their best it ended 1-2 at Havsvallen. I could look back on a great day out and a visit to this lovely ground is highly recommended.
