In 2021 I attended Besa v Nike in Division 3 Södra Götaland at Landskrona IP B-plan. Since then Besa have been relegated to division 5 and are no longer playing at Landskrona IP B-plan. Härslövs IK played at Aspavallen until 2019 when the club folded. Since 2024 Besa are playing their home games at Aspavallen in Härslöv and being only 10-15 minutes or so from central Landskrona Besa have found themselves a new home at a ground which otherwise would be unused. When I looked at the match details for the match at Skåneboll's website I noticed the referee would be one of my Futbology friends which of course was a nice surprise. In recent weeks the weather has been glorious but as I arrived at Aspavallen it was raining but thankfully I have an umbrella in my car.

Aspavallen is a basic ground without any proper stands but there is a small clubhouse by the entrance. Once inside the rain eased and for most of the 90 minutes there was no need for the umbrella, thankfully. It turned out two of the referees were running late and I could hear one of the assistant referees calling the others asking where they were. 12 minutes prior to kick-off they finally showed up and I decided it was probably better not to chat with the main referee (my Futbolgy friend) until after the game! Kick-off was 5-6 minutes later than planned but once the game got underway Besa scored from the half-way line after only a few minutes. In the 39th minute they actually scored once again from the half-way line and at half-time it was 2-0. Kågeröd pulled a goal back but the game at Aspavallen ended 2-1 to Besa. After the final whistle I stayed behind for a nice chat with the referee and as always it is nice to meet up with those involved with football!
