My 2nd match of the day was GoF IF v Svensköps IF at Flyinge IP in Division 6 Skåne Mellersta. The match at Bruksvallen in Örofta didn´t finish until 12.57 but I still managed to arrive at Flyinge IP in the 7th minute. GoF is an abbreviation for Gårdstånga och Flyinge Idrottsförening and the club was founded in 1984 as a merger of Flyinge IF and Gårdstånga IF. At the moment the club is 2nd in the table but with the leaders (Huaröd) being quite far ahead GoF are aiming to finish 2nd or 3rd which means promotion play-offs. Svensköp are 2nd from bottom and this was a match GoF should win quite easily. A few minutes after I had arrived GoF scored to make it 1-0 but despite the 1st half being all GoF it was “only” 2-0 at the break.

With only one player on the bench it wasn´t easy for Svensköp to compete and in the final 10 minutes of this match they completely ran out of energy and in the end it was 10-0 at Flyinge IP. Svensköp will have to find some new players to avoid embarrassing results like the one today. GoF on the other hand will most likely end up in the promotion play-offs and it will be interesting to watch them in the closing stages of the season.
