HästvedaGround: Björkvallen Visits: 1 Date: 30th October 2021 Match: Hästveda - Sibbhult 2-2 (Division 5 Skåne Nordöstra) Attendance: 50 Normally the lower leagues in Sweden end their season in mid-October but due to the pandemic, the season started in mid-June, several leagues won´t end until mid-November. That means a lot of matches are moved to artificial pitches, most of them are training pitches and really not worth visiting, and it was not easy for me to find a match at a new ground. According to the local FA Hästveda would host Sibbhult at Björkvallen in Division 5 Skåne Nordöstra at 13.00. Björkvallen has a grass pitch but I couldn´t find any information saying the fixture had been moved and I decided to attend this fixture. Hästveda is around 35 minutes by car for me and upon arrival I was pleased to notice both teams were warming-up. This of course meant the game would actually be played at Björkvallen and I was looking forward to enjoying a game of football in the pale October sun. With four matches to go both teams are six points clear of the relegation zone and a win would guarantee Division 5-football next year as well. Hästveda started the better team and after 30 minutes they were 2-0 up. Sibbhult pulled a goal back though and at half-time it was 2-1. An entertaining first half but the second half was actually even more entertaining. Sibbhult created numerous chances and they could eventually find the equalizer. Hästveda then had a player sent off and I was convinced Sibbhult would win this game. Somehow they missed one glorious chance after the other and actually had a player sent off themselves. It finished 2-2 and Hästveda should be very pleased with getting a point this afternoon.
