Halmia, from Halmstad, play at Örjans Vall and since my previous visit to this ground was a couple of years ago I have for a while wanting to make a re-visit. Last time I was at Örjans Vall it was for Halmstads BK vs Elfsborg in Allsvenskan. My seat that evening was in row one (not good for pictures!) and knowing Halmia vs Torn would attract around 500, meaning I can walk around in the stands taking as many pictures as I want to, I decided to visit this match. With Halmia being top of Division 2 Södra Götaland and today´s opponents, Torn, being third this was an interesting match to look forward to. I actually visited visited the reversed fixture earlier this year and that day Halmia won 5-0.

In today´s match Halmia started the better team and had some really good chances early but hitting the post was as close as they would come. Instead it was Torn who took the lead as a defender and the goalkeeper in Halmia couldn´t decide who was suppose to clear the ball, 1-0 to Torn at half-time. The second half continued where the first ended. Plenty of ball possession by Halmia but no goals. In the 70th minute Torn had a free-kick just outside the Halmia penalty and the resulting free-kick was absolutely perfect. A nicely bended free-kick in the left-hand corner, 0-2. It was a long-time since I saw such a great free-kick. Halmia then managed to pull a goal back and then created chance after chance. They hit the post again but couldn´t find the equalising goal and the match finished 2-1 to Torn. For a neutral this was a very entertaining match but Halmia must be gutted to lose this match. The result also means Halmia lost top spot in the table and with four matches to play they are now a point behind Tvååker.
