HörjaGround: Hörja Idrottsplats Visits: 1 Date: 8th May 2025 Match: Röke/Hörja - Farstorp 2-1 (Division 5 Skåne Norra) Attendance: 90 Hörja is a small village just north of Hässleholm and I have on many occasions passed it with my car. The local football club, Hörja IF, are nowadays cooperating with their neighbours from Röke and the clubs compete under the name Röke IF/Hörja IF. The club use two grounds, Röke IP and Villevallen, for their home games and the game this evening was to be played at Villevallen in Hörja. Röke/Hörja were hosting Farstorp in (kind of) a derby in Division 5 Skåne Norra and I was hoping for a decent attendance this evening. Both clubs were promoted at the end of last season but are now bottom and second bottom in the league. It took me just over 40 minutes to drive to Villevallen and once I had left my car I was very pleased, Villevallen is a very beautiful ground well worth a visit. The dug-out are made of timber and carved into the grass bank and from the many wooden benches around the pitch you have an excellent view of the action. There was some rain but in time for kick-off the sun appeared and the 90 or so spectators at Villevallen ould watch on as the visitors from Farstorp took the lead. Farstorp had most of the possession but Röke/Hörja equalised shortly before the break, 1-1 at half-time. In the second half it was mostly Farstorp who had possession but their final deliveries were poor and instead it was Röke/Hörja who once again could score to make it 2-1. That was to be the final score, hardly a fair reflection of what happened on the pitch but you really need to score from your chances. I was back home by 21.30 and hopefully I will be able to visit Röke IP as well later on this season.
