HögaborgGround: Harlyckans Idrottsplats Visits: 1 Date: 11th August 2012 Match: Högaborgs BK - Eskilsminne 0-2 (Division 2 Södra Götaland) Attendance: 560
Högaborgs BK are based in Helsingborg and is most famous for being the club where Henrik Larsson started his career. Nowdays Högaborg play in Division 2 and the match against Eskilsminne is their big derby. The two clubs both play their home matches at Harlyckans Idrottsplats in southern Helsingborg. When the two clubs played each other earlier in the season more than a thousand people turned up. With both clubs currently being mid-table I was not expecting that many the match today. The nice weather and the prospect of seeing a certain Jordan Larsson (Henrik´s son!) make his first ever senior match at Harlyckans IP still attracted a decent crowd.
Harlyckans IP has a small covered all-seated stand with around 250 seats on the west side but most of the crowd stayed on the east side of the ground. A big hill creates a perfect natural stand and with the nice weather this was a very nice place for watching football. As I was sitting on top the hill reading the match programme some 45 minutes prior to kick-off I notice a couple with portable chairs walking up the hill but I didn´t pay too much attention to them. They then sat down next to me and then started to talk to each other. Hmm, I recognize that voice. It was of course Henrik and his wife. They were soon joined by some friends and it was a bit strange for me ending up next to one of Sweden´s most famous footballers, for the second time this summer!
The match itself was not very good. Eskilsminne were the better team and were 2-0 up at half-time. Högaborgs didn´t have many chances and not even the introduction of a 15-year old Jordan Larsson could change the run of play and it finished 2-0 to the "visitors".
