For some reason unknown to me Hyllie IK are playing their home games at Hyllie IP Konstgräs and not at the main pitch (Hyllie IP). Hyllie IP Konstgräs is a venue without any facilities whatsoever but for a last round promotion decider I still decided it was worth a visit. The game at Hyllie IP ended 15.47 and I then made the short walk to the artificial pitch. For this game my friend Gijs also showed up and with the near side being packed we decided to stand on the far side. As the game was about to start the referee told us that was not allowed, which seemed quite strange. We headed back to the other side and by now fans were more or less standing on the pitch. After a while fans made it to the ends and watched from there.

Pelister, a club from Trelleborg with Macedonian roots, were prior to today top of the table. Hyllie were only a point behind meaning the winner of today's encounter would finish top and claim the automatic promotion spot. To add to the drama Näset, in 3rd place, would win the league if they win their match and Hyllie v Pelister ends with a draw. Pelister scored early on and when Hyllie had a player sent off things were really looking good for the visitors. No more goals in the 1st half though, 0-1 at the break.

The 2nd half was tense and with 10 minutes to go Pelister also had a player sent off. By now you could really feel the drama but despite trying their best Hyllie failed to equalise. When the final whistle was blown celebrating Pelister supporters invaded the pitch and a few smoke bombs and pyros could be seen. Hyllie still might be promoted but in that case they have to overcome two rounds of qualifying.
