IFK YstadGround: Sandskogens IP B-plan Visits: 1 Date: 26th April 2026 Match: IFK Ystad - Gärsnäs 2-1 (Division 4 Skåne Södra) Attendance: 140 In 2018 I made a guest visit to the Swedish groundhop as they were visiting Ystads IF v Liga 06 at Sandskogens IP. IFK Ystad is the other main football club from Ystad and according to Skåneboll they are using Sandskogens IP B-plan for their home games. I thought Ystads IF played at this pitch but last year I realised Ystads IF play at A-plan and B-plan is a different pitch. The main (athletics) ground at Sandskogens IP is apparently F-plan but this pitch is mostly for athletics and youth football. Anyway, I set off for Ystad around 11.15 and at 12.30 I parked my car outside Sandskogens IP. There was a youth tournament taking place at the many pitches at Sandskogen and I actually had some problems finding a place for my car. As I made my way to B-plan it was nice to see so many youngsters playing football. B-plan is really close to the Baltic Sea and it can't be more than 20-25 m from the corner flag to the sea. It was a sunny day but also quite windy. Nevertheless a great day for lower league football and a decent number of fans showed this afternoon. In Ystad handball is the major sport but in recent years there has been success for both Ystads IF and IFK Ystad in football. Ystads IF are currently in division 3 and IFK Ystad were last season promoted to division 4. Today´s visitors Gärsnäs are bottom of the table but within two minutes Gärsnäs scored to make it 0-1. IFK Ystad with help of the wind then scored two quick goals to take the lead 2-1. Both goals were goalkeeping errors as crosses (?) made their way into the back of the net. Two misjudgements by the keeper who was really angry with himself. 2-1 at half-time and with no goals being scored in the second half it ended 2-1 to IFK Ystad. There are three Division 4-leagues in Skåne and I now miss one ground in each of them. No dates are confirmed yet but hopefully they will be visited before the summer ends.
