After the heatwave over the weekend it was refreshening to look at a weather forecast saying rain and 15 ℃ on Thursday evening. Normally I prefer nice and sunny conditions but I guess there is always an exception. In Skåne the summer break has already started but in Halland and Småland there are still games to be played. My choice was to be Lagans AIK v Liatorp/Eneryda IF at Ringvallen. From Kristianstad it is around 1h 40 min by car to Lagan but being on my holidays I could set off early and after a short stop to get something to eat and drink I arrived some 30 minutes prior to kick-off. It was steady rain in Lagan but thankfully I had brought my umbrella so it was still ok. There are actually two small stands at Ringvallen and from the grass bank you have a good view of the action.

The game was actually officiated by one of my Twitter followers, something I only realised the day before. As the referees entered the pitch I of course made it onto the pitch myself and had a nice chat with Johannes and his colleagues. Lagan v Liatorp/Eneryda was actually 3rd v 2nd and a win would send the visitors, with one game more played, top of the table. Liatorp/Eneryda brought 25-30 fans which is very good for this level and they occupied the biggest of the two small stands. Those fans could celebrate when Liatorp/Eneryda made it 0-1 in the 11th minute.

At half-time the rain eased and towards the end the sun actually appeared. Lagan had their chances but it was Liatorp/Eneryda who scored the goals. In the end it was 4-0 to the visitors which really doesn't reflect what happened on the pitch. Despite the rain I enjoyed my visit and the friendly banter between home and away supporters.
