The first weekend of March meant matchday 3 (of 3) in the group stage of the Swedish Cup. My only missing ground in this year´s group stage was Landskrona IP Konstgräs (F-plan) and despite Landskrona v Gefle being a dead rubber I decided to go. The ground used for cup games is an artificial pitch right behind the away stand at Landskrona IP and arriving 45 minutes prior to kick-off I managed to get a spot for my car right next to the entrance. There are no proper stands at this ground but on the east side there is a grass bank from where you have a decent view of the action. It was quite a nice day for football, +8°C and sunshine, and I estimate around 250 had showed up for this cup game.

Landskrona started the better team but it was the visitors who took the lead early on. Landskrona equalised but in the 35th minute they had a player sent off after the Gefle goalkeeper was kicked in the face as he was grabbing the ball. 10 minutes delay until the game could restart but at least the goalkeeper seemed to be alright. Down to 10 men I assumed Landskrona would be defending for most of the 2nd half but that was not to be the case. They scored twice to deservedly win 3-1 and the group stage of the cup was coming to an end.
