Ledøje-SmørumGround: Smørum Idrætscenter (Sydbank Arena) Visits: 1 Date: 12th April 2025 Match: Ledøje-Smørum - Vanløse 0-0 (Danmarksserien, promotion group) Attendance: 120 Staying the night in Taastrup I only had 20 minutes of driving to reach Smørum Idrætscenter where today´s action would take place. Level five in Denmark is called Danmarksserien and is made up of 4 leagues with 10 teams each. The top five end up in one of the two promotion groups and the bottom five will play in the relegation groups. The winners of each of the promotion groups are then promoted to 3. Division while the runners-up face each other in a play-off for the third promotion spot. Last weekend was the last before the split and I had to wait until Tuesday evening to find out what the fixture list would look like. Ledøje-Smørum (LSF) finished 2nd in their group while Vanløse finished top in theirs meaning this was probably the most interesting fixture in Danmarksserien this weekend. A noon kick-off was also convenient for me since that meant I would be back home quite early on Saturday. Vanløse are favourites to win promotion back to 3. Division and brought a decent number of fans to Smørum. The match today was of a much better quality than the one yesterday but at half-time it was still goalless. At the break I had a pølse and as I was standing next to the pitch eating a German Shepherd was suddenly very interesting and wanted to grab my food. I managed to drop the bread and he immediately dived in but realised bread was not for him. At least I could then finish my pølse without being disturbed. On the pitch Vanløse were the better team but somehow failed to score. As the final whistle was blown it was still 0-0 on the score.board meaning I had seen a total of 0 goals during my trip to Denmark. Entrance Welcome!
