LincolnGround: Sincil Bank Stadium Visits: 1 Date: 2nd November 2007 Match: Lincoln - Chester 0-1 (CC League 2) Attendance: 3 960
I was supposed to be watching Blackpool-Cardiff this Friday evening but due to the Carling Cup this match was moved and I made the journey to Lincoln instead. Travelling from Kristianstad to Lincoln, via Copenhagen and Manchester, in the same day made me a bit tired but I was all the same looking forward to my first ever League 2 match. The ground was nicely tucked in with the neighboring houses (old style English ground!) and I bought a ticket for the Echo stand. 45 minutes before kick-off it was announced the Chester bus had been stuck in traffic and kick-off was to be delayed. Chester finally arrived and 50 minutes late the match finally kicked-off. Chester scored from the penalty spot and won by the only goal. The match finished around 10.40 and I was both tired and cold as I made my way back to the hotel but I never regretted making the long journey to Lincolnshire.
