MärserumGround: Märserums Idrottsplats Visits: 1 Date: 15th September 2024 Match: Märserum - BK Union 6-2 (Division 4 Blekinge) Attendance: 110 Being indoors all day on Saturday playing table tennis I was looking forward to being out in the sun on Sunday afternoon. Prior to this weekend I have 3 (out of 12) grounds left to visit in Division 4 Blekinge and the nearest of those was Märserums IP. At 2pm Märserums IF were hosting BK Union from Kyrkhult and with both teams having plenty to play for this was to be my match of the day. Despite all the road works it only took me around 50 minutes to reach Märserums IP and as I parked my car I actually had a nice view of the ground. Being close to the E22 motorway (and even closer to the rail tracks) I have actually passed the ground many times and it was great to finally tick it off. BK Union are 3rd in the table and hopeful of reaching at least 2nd spot which means promotion play-offs. Märserum are hoping to avoid the relegation play-offs and with both teams needing all three points I was hopeful of an entertaining match. I counted the attendance to be around 110 and some of those were a group of young ultras from Kyrkhult. To my surprise it was Märserum who scored first and despite BK Union equalising it was 4-1 at half-time. Disappointment for the ultras but home fans were really pleased and it was to be even better for them. Märserum played really well this sunny afternoon and as the final whistle was blown it was 6-2 on the score-board meaning BK Union are out of promotion play-offs. Märserum still aren´t safe but after their performance today I would be surprised if they go down. Clubhouse Badge Players and officials on their way Kick-off West side Young ultras A nice day!
