Rörums SKGround: Åvallen Visits: 1 Date: 17th October 2021 Match: Rörums SK - Brantevik 12-0 (Division 6 Skåne Sydöstra) Attendance: 55 Having played table-tennis on Saturday I was looking for a local match I could attend on Sunday afternoon. I still haven´t been to a match in Division 6 Skåne Sydöstra but when I noticed top of the table Rörums SK was hosting Brantevik I decided to go to Åvallen in Rörum. Brantevik used to be part of Österlen FF (currently in Division 1) and in 2014 I actually attended a match at Branteviks IP. The club is now back as Branteviks IF and is currently mid-table in this league. With Rörum being four points clear and only two fixtures remaining after this one I was looking forward to an interesting match. Rörum is just under one hour by car for me and 30 minutes prior to kick-off I parked my car outside the ground. Kivik is the unofficial capital of the Swedish apple district and with Rörum being just south of Kivik it was no surprise there was plenty of apple trees next to the ground. The east side of Åvallen is made up of a grass bank and from there you had a good view of the action. No official attendance was announced but I counted to around 55 and most of those would have a very nice afternoon at Åvallen. Rörums SK was by far the better team and after 20 minutes it was already 5-0 to the hosts. With 15 minutes to go it was 10-0 and when Rörum was awarded a penalty it was taken by the goalkeeper who probably scored his first goal of the season. In the end it was 12-0, a joint goal scoring record for me, and I would be very surprised if Rörum won´t win this league. Next weekend it is my birthday and I will be away doing non-football stuff. Normal service will be resumed the following weekend though! Entrance
