I have been to Skurup several times in recent years to play table tennis and will be there during the upcoming season as well. When it comes to football I haven't been to football though and with Skurups IP being one of three missing grounds in Division 5 Skåne Sydöstra I decided to visit for Skurup v Önneköp on Sunday afternoon. It was quite warm and sunny but as I stepped out of my car I also realised it was a bit windy. Prior to my visit I had no idea what the ground would look like and once inside I wasn´t too excited. There is a grass pitch and there are no running tracks but Skurups IP is still quite boring. There is a small seated stand in the north side but being fully exposed to the sun I decided not to sit there. A tree behind one of the goals provided shade and much nicer conditions! In total around 65 spectators showed up and at half-time it was 1-0 to the visitors from Önneköp.

At half-time I purchased coffee and ice-cream from the cafe and despite the view being partly obstructed I decided to sit in the shade on one of the benches for most of the 2nd half. Skurup managed to equalise in the 57th minute and despite both teams having a few chances to score the winner it ended 1-1 at Skurups IP.
