I decided to make a trip to Denmark for the weekend. At first I was looking at Bornholm but when the 15.30 ferry was fully booked I decided to keep it simple and spend the weekend in the Copenhagen area. I left Kristianstad shortly after noon and although it was heavy around Lund/Malmö and Copenhagen I managed to beat the worst of the traffic. My first match was Taastrup FC v Ballerup-Skovlunde on Friday evening and Iuckily I managed to find a hotel in Tasstrup within walking distance of the ground. I was at the hotel at 14.30 and after a short rest I went out for a walk to the ground to see if it was possible to get inside. Unfortunately the gates were closed but at least I got some exercise (20 min walk) and found a restaurant where I could have something to eat prior to going back to the ground later on.

Surrounded by trees Taastrup Idrætspark is quite a nice little ground and I really enjoyed watching football there. The match this evening was in Sjællandsserien (level 6) and it was actually Tasstrup´s first home game on grass since mid-October. I was not expecting a big crowd but I estimate the total attendance was 150-175 with plenty of those supporting the visitors. Ballerup is only 8 km from Taastrup so a short trip for the visitors this Friday evening. Beer and pølser were selling well and to my delight it was possible for me to use my new Vipps/Mobile Pay app at Taastrup Idrætspark. Not having to rely on cash will make my life much easier when visiting Denmark!

The actual match was not the best. Ballerup-Skovlunde had a few decent chances to score but Taastrup didn´t create much. It ended 0-0 in Taastrup this Friday evening but at least it was a nice ground visit for me.
