Västra IngelstadGround: Västra Ingelstads Idrottsplats Visits: 1 Date: 19th April 2025 Match: Västra Ingelstad - Bunkeflo FF 3-3 (Division 4 Skåne Sydvästra) Attendance: 80 There are three Division 4-leagues in Skåne with 12 teams in each league. Last year I completed all three but this season I have five grounds to visit to re-complete those leagues. Two of those are in Division 4 Skåne Sydvästra and on Easter Saturday I decided to visit Västra Ingelstads Idrottsplats for Västra Ingelstad v Bunkeflo FF. Cloudy with a risk of light rain was the forecast but it was the same in all of southern Sweden and this was the most interesting local match for me today. It took around 70 minutes to reach Västra Ingelstad and once out of the car it was obvious I had to put on the extra jumper I brought. The rain stayed away though and once inside I noticed a group of youngsters preparing their flags and drum for the upcoming game. “Yellow Ultra Boys” is yet another example of the trend at lower league grounds in Sweden where youngsters do their best to create an atmosphere. The actual ground is quite basic but there is a clubhouse with a porch and the pitch is surrounded by trees. 2025 is actually Västra Ingelstad´s first ever season at th this level (6) and so far they have one win and one draw. Västra Ingelstad scored twice in the first half but was a bit lucky to lead 2-0 at the break. In the 2nd half it was all Bunkeflo FF and when they scored twice (two good headers) I was convinced they would win. Instead Västra Ingelstad scored again to take the lead, 3-2. Bunkeflo FF once again equalised and despite several chances in the final minutes it ended 3-3 at Västra Ingelstads IP. An entertaining afternoon for the around 80 spectators!
