WollsjöGround: Åvallen Visits: 1 Date: 21st April 2025 Match: Wollsjö AIF - Torna Hällestads IF 0-10 (Division 6 Skåne Mellersta) Attendance: 45 For Easter Monday I was at first not planning on going to a game but I changed my mind. Not wanting to go too far my destination would be Åvallen in Vollsjö where Wollsjö AIF hosted Torna Hällestad in Division 6 Skåne Mellersta. Vollsjö is around 45 minutes by car for me and 20 minutes prior to kick-off I parked my car outside the ground. Mats Lilienberg won two Allsvenskan titles (Halmstad and IFK Göteborg) and also played in the Bundesliga for 1860 München. As a 14-year old he made his debut for the senior team at Wollsjö AIF and the following year he scored 54 goals for them! Nowadays Wollsjö AIF could do with a good striker. They are bottom of Division 6 and their last home game ended 0-8. Nevertheless a decent ground to visit and live football is always better than tv-football. There are a few wooden benches to sit on and the grass hill on the west side provided a good view of the action. I counted 45 spectators and we could watch a pretty one-sided affair. It was 0-3 at half-time but as the home players were getting tired the visitors from Torna Hällestad scored again and again. In the 90th minute the 10th goal of the afternoon was scored and the score-board showed 0-10. Credit to the home players who never stopped fighting though and hopefully they will get some points later on in the season. ![]() Entrance West side Players and officials entering West side West side South End View of Åvallen View of play East side East side Corner, Wollsjö Penalty, Torna Hällestad North End 0-10 |
