Belganet-HallabroGround: Björkvallen Visits: 1 Date: 29th May 2026 Match: Belganet-Hallabro - Björkenäs/Pukavik 3-2 (Division 6 Blekinge) Attendance: 40 Belganet-Hallabro IF were founded in 1970 after a merger of Belganet IF (founded in 1936) and Hallabro IF (1947). Both villages are situated in northern rural Blekinge and with a decreasing population mergers are quite common in the countryside. Belganet-Hallabro play their home games at Björkvallen in Hallabro and at 6pm on Friday evening the club hosted Björkenäs/Pukavik in Division 6 Blekinge Västra. From Kristianstad it was around 70 minutes of driving and I arrived 20 minutes prior to kick-off. It was a warm day in southern Sweden and as I left my car it showed 25 ℃, which is quite high for being in May. The west side of Björkvallen offered a good view of the action but also some protection from the sun and I decided to sit on that side. The wooden benches were not in a good condition though and half of them were actually broken! The total attendance this evening was 40 so still plenty of room for those present. It is fair to say the quality of the football was very poor. The players tried their best though and to watch football at a nice idrottsplats on an evening like today is for me about life quality. It ended 3-2 to Belganet-Hallabro and they are now in a good position to qualify for the promotion group. On my way back home I made a short stop at Belganet Idrottspark, the ground where Belganet IF played until the merger in 1970. As I understand it hasn´t been used for matches for many years, which is a shame. The stoned terrace is unique and as a groundhopper I can only hope I will one day be able to attend a match at his ground. As I was there the pitch was being mowed by a robotic lawn-mower and I don´t think it would be impossible to once more host a game at Belganet Idrottspark.
