Borås AIKGround: Bodavallen Visits: 1 Date: 16th June Match: Borås AIK - Korsberga 2-2 (Division 4 Västergötland Östra) Attendance: 40 After a good night's sleep I woke up in Mjölby on Sunday morning. My destination today was Borås where I would attend two matches and shortly after noon, after a 2-hour drive, I arrived at Bodavallen in eastern Borås. Borås AIK were founded in 1953 and have most of the time played in Division 4 (level 6). A few years ago they played a few seasons in Division 3 and at the moment they are mid-table in Division 4 Västergötland Östra. Bodavallen has an artificial pitch and during the winter months it is used for bandy (field hockey on ice). There is a stand on the west side of the ground and from there you have a good view of the action. The weather forecast suggested rain showers but we only had two minor light rain showers and during the last 10 minutes the sun appeared as well. On the pitch it was the visitors from Korsberga who scored the opening goal, 0-1 after only 5 minutes. Borås AIK equalised but Korsberga, who hardly had any shots on goal, somehow scored again and at half-time it was 1-2 on the score-board. In the 2nd half it was all Borås AIK and with 20 minutes to go they equalised again, 2-2. Borås AIK then threw the kitchen sink at Korsberga and hit the woodwork several times, including twice in the last five minutes. No more goals though and it ended 2-2 at Bodavallen.
