Dragør BoldklubGround: Dragør BK Stadion Visits: 1 Date: 21st August 2021 Match: Dragør BK - NB Bornholm 4-1 (Københavnsserien) Attendance: 75 The match at Karlslunde Stadion ended at 14.54 and 30 minutes later I was outside the ground in Dragør. Københanvsserien is one of several regional leagues at level 6 in Denmark and with today´s visitors being Nexø Boldklub there was a specific reason for the unusual kick-off time of 15.30. Nexø Boldklub is from the island of Bornholm and to travel to their away games they have to go by ferry to Ystad in Sweden and then onwards across the Öresund bridge to Denmark. All the other teams in this league are from Copenhagen so it is a familiar route for the islanders. Founded in 1907 Dragør Boldklub is the oldest football club on the island of Amager. Amager is the island west of central Copenhagen and where the Copenhagen airport is situated. Dragør is only a few kilometres to the south of the airport and on my way I drove under one of the runways. The Öresund bridge was opened in 2000 and prior to that the ferries from Malmö(Limhamn) docked at Dragør btw. It feels like an eternity since I was in Dragør but it was nice to be back. NB Bornholm brought a group of 10 active fans to Dragør for this game but this was not to be their day. At half-time it was 4-0 to Dragør and when the final whistle was blown the score-board said 4-1. It was free entrance but I estimate around 75 spectators had turned up for this match. The ground is very basic but the clubhouse, with its café, behind the west end was popular with home fans who could sit there, drink beer and enjoy a nice game of football!
