GärsnäsGround: Gärsvalla Visits: 1 Date: 11th June 2022 Match: Gärsnäs - Broby 4-1 (Division 4 Skåne Östra) Attendance: 120 In Sweden the top five divisions (Allsvenskan to Division 3) are administered by the Swedish FA. Division 4 to 6 are administered by the local FAs and in Skåne there are 3 leagues with 12 teams each in Division 4. In Division 4 Skåne Östra I have visited 9 of those 12 teams and I am of course looking at completing the league in 2022. On Saturday afternoon Gärsnäs AIS hosted Broby IF at Gärsvalla, one of my missing grounds. By car it is around an hour to Gärsnäs and driving through a beautiful part of Sweden it was quite a nice journey. The first ever match at Gärsvalla was played in 1962 and since then Gärsnäs AIS has mostly played in Division 4 and 5. The grass pitch at Gärsvalla was in a perfect condition and as the game got underway it was the visitors from Broby who scored the first goal, 1-0 in the 3rd minute. Broby then missed an open goal but Gärsnäs were the better team and by half-time they had scored twice to lead 2-1 at the break. In the second half Gärsnäs scored two more goals and as the sun appeared at Gärsvalla it was 4-1 on the score-board. The attendance was just over 100 and I am sure most of them went home very pleased.
