Herfølge StadionGround: SEAS-NVE Park (Herfølge Stadion) Visits: 1 Date: 21st August 2011 Match: HB Køge - Silkeborg 3-0 (Superligaen) Attendance: 3 021
After watching Avarta vs Vanløse earlier in the day I set off for Herfølge and 40 minutes prior to kick-off I could park my car outside SEAS-NVE Park. This strange name is of course a sponsored one, the original name of the stadium is Herfølge Stadion. HB Køge was founded in 2009 as a merger between Køge Boldklub and Herfølge Boldklub. As Herfølge was the most successful of those clubs, they had the better stadium and this is where the new club play their matches. Herfølge Stadion has a capacity of around 7 300 and to my surprise there are only two proper stands in the stadium. The south end of the ground has a small terrace but is only open when visiting clubs have big away followings. The East Stand is very strange. There is a small terrace but mainly cabins for sponsors etc. See pictures below. After four rounds in this year´s Superliga HB Køge had 0 points and but the nice weather still meant there was a decent attendance at the match. Silkeborg probably expected to win this match but that was not to be. HB Køge deservedly won by 3-0, the first two goals headed in by their long striker. The third goal was a real beauty, a long range shot which dipped and found the net. Most of 3 021 in attendance had a great day out and hopefully they will come back for HB Køge´s next home match. After two matches and seven goals I was quite pleased with my day too. After my visit to SEAS-NVE Park I now only have 3 grounds left in Superligaen but those grounds have to wait until next season for my visit.
