Husie

Ground: Husiegårds Idrottsplats

Visits: 1

Date: 17th June 2026

Match: Husie IF - Tygelsjö IK  2-4  (Division 5 Skåne Södra)

Attendance: 90

My partner/girlfriend (or whatever you call it at my age) was flying to Riga on Wednesday evening. I had promised to drive to Malmö Hyllie, park the car and then go by train to the airport and help her with her bags etc. There would then be enough time for me to visit Husiegårds IP where Husie hosted Tygelsjö in Division 5 Skåne Södra. When we arrived at Hyllie station I looked at the screens and trains across the bridge were cancelled due to an electrical wire being torn down near the airport. It was quite chaotic with commuters and flight passengers realising there wouldn't be any trains for quite some time. Going through our options I decided the best option was to cancel my parking and drive across the bridge and drop my partner off. She promised she would be able to handle her bags and the check-in procedure without my help. As we arrived at the airport there were plenty of cars and taxis but I eventually found the Kiss and Fly zone where I could drop her off. In the end she managed to board her flight without problems which obviously was a big relief for me.

Since I hadn't eaten I stopped by a McDonalds next to the outer ringroad in Malmö and at 19.01 I could then park my car outside Husiegårds IP. A friend of mine, Gijs, arrived at the same time and as we entered we had missed 2.5 minutes of the game. In the 5th minute Tygelsjö scored the opening goal of the evening and by half-time it was actually 4-0 to the visitors. In the 2nd half Husie scored twice and it was suddenly a bit of drama at Husiegårds IP. It ended 2-4 and after all the stress earlier it was very relaxing to have a chat with Gijs and watch an entertaining game of football.

Prior to my visit I had no idea what the ground looked like but Husiegårds IP was a positive surprise. It has a grass pitch and the grass bank on the south side provides a good view of the action.
