IshøjGround: Ishøj Idrœtscenter (Jey-Lind Arena) Visits: 1 Date: 29th april 2023 Match: Ishøj - FA 2000 0-2 (3. Division, promotion group) Attendance: 250 For the first time in 2023 it was time for a trip to Denmark. The top four divisions in Denmark are national with 12 teams in each division. Clubs play each other twice and efter 22 rounds six teams end up in the promotion group and six teams in the relegation group. In the promotion group of 3. Division (level 4) Ishøj are the only team I so far haven't visited. Today Ishøj were hosting FA 2000 and with it being 3rd v 2nd (separated by three points) there was plenty at stake this afternoon. Ishøj is a suburb of Copenhagen and for me it was around 90 minutes by car. With my Bridge Pass I had no problems whatsoever crossing the Öresund bridge. Ishøj IF play at Ishøj Idrætscenter and once there the car park was full. I found a side road where I could park my car though. There are plenty of pitches at Ishøj Idrætscenter and the main pitch/ground has recently been renamed Jey-Lind Arena. The entrance was actually close to where I had parked my car and quite far from the main car park. Sometimes you are lucky! Anyway, the weather was really nice with 16 degrees and sunshine and once inside I noticed the pitch seemed to be in a perfect condition. There were plenty of seats in the west side of the ground and for Ishøj IF this is a perfectly sized ground. Two teams are promoted to 2. Division and with FA 2000 being three points ahead of Ishøj a win for the visitors would be massive. FA 2000 scored early on and later on in the 1st half Ishøj had a player sent off for a violent tackle. 0-1 at half-time but Ishøj did their best in the 2nd half to find an equalizer but in the end FA 2000 were too strong and won 2-0. I haven´t seen an official figure but I estimate the attendance was around 250, not bad for this level in Denmark. Ishøj Idrætscenter was my 55th Danish ground and hopefully I will be back anytime soon! ![]() Entrance Entrance West side West Stand West Stand West Stand East side East side Fans on their way Players and officials entering Kick-off North End View of play Pyro West Stand West Stand View of play South End View of Jey-Lind Arena |
