JärfällaGround: Järfällavallen Visits: 1 Date: 13th June 2026 Match: FC Järfälla - FC Arlanda 2-3 (Ettan Norra) Attendance: 169 The main reason for the trip to Stockholm this weekend was to visit Järfällavallen and thereby re-complete Ettan Norra (Division 1 Norra), one of two leagues at level 3 in Sweden. FC Järfälla were founded in 1993 as a merger of Jakobsbergs GoIF and Söderhöjden/Wasa and in 2025 the club managed to win Division 2 Norra Svealand. 2026 is the first ever season for the club at level 3 and they have had a decent start so far. Järfällapokalen is one of the most prestigious table tennis tournaments in Sweden and in the mid-80s my brother managed to win Järfällapokalen. Järfällavallen is situated next to Jakobsbergs sporthall and for me it was a trip down memory lane (I was coaching!). Having been to Bolindervallen earlier in the day I only had a 3-minute journey from Kallhäll to Jakobergsberg and then 15 minutes by foot to reach Järfällavallen. Once outside it was obvious Järfällavallen is quite a basic ground with only one side open to fans. As kick-off approached Mike Wasi from Hannover showed up. I met him two weeks ago in Kristianstad and he is now entering his third week in Sweden. We found ourselves a “seat” in one of the wooden stands and from there we had an ok view of the action on the pitch. FC Järfälla v FC Arlanda was actually a really entertaining game. Arlanda scored the first goal but Järfälla turned things around and in the 60th minute it was 2-1 on the score-board. Arlanda equalised a few minutes later and in the 75th minute they scored again to win 3-2. As I said goodbye to Mike and headed back to the station in Jakobsberg I could look back on a great day with nine goals. The top three divisions in Sweden are once again complete and that is something I always prioritize when it comes to planning where to go.
