The last Saturday of October was when the return legs of the last play-off round in the lower leagues was being played. Last weekend I was at Kävlinge Harrie v Kopparmöllan and I decided to go to the reversed fixture this weekend. Kävlinge Harrie won 3-1 in the first leg but having their goalkeeper sent off it could be difficult for them to keep the advantage with a reserve keeper in goal.

FC Kopparmöllan was founded in 2017 as a merger of local rivals Stidsvig IF and Östra Ljungby IF and they play their home games at Kopparmöllans IP in Stidsvig. From where I live it is around 70 minutes by car to Stidsvig and as I parked my car outside the car I was positively surprised when I looked at the ground. A grass pitch and a small covered wooden main stand is quite good for this level in Sweden and it was also obvious a much bigger than normal crowd was to be at Kopparmöllans IP for this deciding play-off game. Once the game got underway Kävlinge Harrie scored within a minute of play. At half-time it was 0-2 on the score-board meaning Kopparmöllan had to score four goals in the second half to get this game into extra-time. In the 46th minute Kopparmöllan actually pulled a goal back but they couldn´t score any more goals and Kävlinge Harrie won quite comfortably 5-2 on aggregate. The visitors even missed a penalty in the second half and were in control on the pitch. Normally Kävlinge Harrie would be promoted but with five teams from Skåne being relegated from division 3 to division 4 (and only four being promoted) Kävlinge actually have to play Simrishamn United next week in an extra play-off round to get the correct number of teams in the regional leagues. The same applies in the play-off to division 4 by the way where the two lowest ranked teams have to play each other as well. My domestic season is coming to an end but there might be room for one or two additional games in November.
