OlympicGround: Lindängens Idrottsplats Visits: 1 Date: 16th April 2011 Match: Olympic - VMA 4-1 (Division 2 Södra Götaland) Attendance: 144
BK Olympic is a club based in Lindängen in eastern Malmö. Their ground, Lindängens IP, is named after the area and as I had no idea what the ground would look like I set off for Malmö not knowing what to expect. I was to be positively surprised though, most grounds at this level have running tracks but Lindängens IP is a proper football ground. On the far side there is a small wooden stand called Olympicläktaren with a seated capacity of around 200. The near side is an open terrace and this stand is where most fans are standing during matches. After winning Division 3 Södra Götaland in 2010 Olympic are for the first time since 1998 back in Division 2. In all this is the 9th season for Olympic at this level. The match against VMA started with the visitors taking the lead but with two quick goals Olympic were leading 2-1 by half-time. In the second half Olympic showed they are a team for the upper half of the table creating several chances. In the end they won 4-1 and I have to say I was quite impressed by their players. This was my first domestic match in 2011 but there are many more to come!
