Farstorp (champions), Sösdala (best runner-up) and Röke/Hörja (play-offs) were all promoted from Division 6 Skåne Norra to Division 5 Skåne Norra. This season they are all in danger of relegation back to division 6. Farstorp and Röke/Hörja are in the automatic relegation spots and Sösdala currently in the last relegation play-off spot. With four points separating Röke/Hörja and Sösdala the game this afternoon was really important for both teams. Röke/Hörja play their home games at Röke IP and at Villevallen in Hörja. I visited Villevallen in May and that was a really nice ground. Röke IP is around 45 minutes by car and I was expecting a decent attendance for this crucial encounter at the bottom of the table.

Kick-off was supposed to be at 13.00 but due to the referees being delayed kick-off was delayed until 13.15. I counted 70 spectators in the sunny, but windy, conditions and after only 5 minutes home fans could celebrate as Röke/Hörja made it 1-0. Shortly before half-time Södala equalised and at the break it was 1-1. I had brought a meatball baguette and as I was eating it at half-time the dog next to me suddenly became very interested. His owner tried to remove him but at one time the dog's head was inside my rucksack. No meatballs for the dog though but it made me smile for a few minutes!

In the 2nd half it was mostly Sösdala and they scored two goals to take a 1-3 lead at Röke IP. The hosts put a goal back in the end that was not enough and Sösdala could deservedly take all three points. Unless a miracle happens Röke/Hörja will be relegated back to division 6 but Södala still have every chance to stay up. In this league I now only have Båstad and Munka Ljungby left to visit but I doubt I will go there this season.
