SibbhultGround: Färevallen Visits: 1 Date: 10th April 2023 Match: Sibbhult - Hanaskog 2-2 (Division 5 Skåne Nordöstra) Attendance: 225 Easter Monday meant a chance for yet another game of football. Sibbhult v Hanaskog at Färevallen is a local derby in Division 5 Skåne Nordöstra and with the weather being really nice I knew there would be a good crowd at this game. It is around 30 minutes by car for me to Sibbhult and on the way I picked up a colleague from work. We arrived at Färevallen some 30 minutes prior to kick-off and there were already plenty of fans present. Färevallen has an artificial pitch (the grass pitch is next door but is not used anymore) and on the east side there is a small stand. With a 5pm kick-off time it was getting a bit chilly but for those standing/sitting on the east side by the club house it still felt quite nice in the sun. No official attendance was announced but I estimate somewhere between 200 and 250 spectators at Färevallen for this encounter. There won´t be many games at Division 5 (level 7) in Sweden with a better attendance this season! Sibbhult are favourites to win the league and after 23 minutes they were 2-0 up. Hanaskog pulled a goal back shortly before the break though, 2-1 at half-time. In the 2nd half Hanaskog had most of the possession and in the 70th minute they deservedly made it 2-2. Hanskog then had some good chances but missed them all and this Easter Monday derby ended 2-2. I really enjoyed my visit to Färevallen and it is a shame not every game at this level will be like this one!
