Skedalaheds IP KonstgräsGround: Skedalaheds IP Konstgräs Visits: 1 Date: 1 March 2026 Match: Halmstds BK - Varbergs BoIS 1-0 (Svenska Cupen) Attendance: 450 The domestic Swedish football season starts with the group stage of the cup. With the exception of Malmö FF home games, every game is played on an artificial pitch meaning plenty of “B-pitches” being used. On matchday two Halmstads BK were hosting Varbergs BoIS and this fixture was played at Skedalaheds IP Konstgräs. Last year Halmstad played at Söndrums IP Konstgräs but since I still haven't attended a game at Skedalahed this was good news for me. From Kristianstad it took me around 1h 40 min to drive to Skedalaheds IP and as usual I arrived early. Once I had parked my car I took a few pictures of the entrance but carefully avoided taking a photo of the police standing in front of the entrance. They even said hello to me and I was apparently not regarded as a risk supporter! Skedalaheds IP is normally the home of Snöstorp Nyhem (nowadays in Division 5) and the main ground looked quite nice with a grass pitch and a covered stand. The artificial pitch was a little further to walk and as expected it was very basic. There is a small open stand in the east side but otherwise the most popular spot for those in attendance was the grass bank behind the goal in the south end of the ground. It was free entrance and I estimate the attendance was around 450. Last weekend Halmstad beat Karlstad 1-0 while Varberg lost 2-0 against Malmö FF and today's encounter was quite even. Halmstad scored in the 1st half and despite both teams having their chances it ended 1-0 to Halmstads BK. Halmstad will now face Malmö in a decisive fixture next weekend for top spot in the group and progress to the quarter finals.
