Täby FKGround: Tibblevallen Visits: 1 Date: 6th August 2022 Match: Täby FK - Gefle 0-1 (Ettan Norra) Attendance: 150 The reason I went to Stockholm this weekend was to visit Tibblevallen. Being my only missing ground in Division 1 Norra (Ettan Norra) it has been on my radar for a while. With today's opponents being Gefle IF I knew there would be “active” away fans which of course made the fixture even more attractive. Kick-off at Tibblevallen was at 16.00 meaning I had time to visit another game earlier in the day. Bele Barkarby v Rinkeby United ended 0-4 and ended shortly before 14.00. I went by bus from Barkarby to Danderyds sjukhus and from there by replacement bus to Tibblevallen. There is a train station right next to the ground but that line has been closed for several weeks. Once at the ground I had problems finding the entrance but after a while I found it. In 2012 Täby IS and IFK Täby merged to form a new club, Täby FK. The club´s biggest success so far came in 2019 when they won Division 2 Norra Svealand. In 2020 Tibblevallen was modernized with a new pitch and new running tracks. Those works were not performed as they were supposed to and in 2021 the ground was closed again and the mistakes were corrected. For a groundhopper Tibblevallen is not very exciting but a new ground is a new ground I suppose. Gefle brought around 20-25 active fans to Tibblevallen this afternoon and those fans set off smoke bombs and pyro prior to kick-off- Gefle and local rivals Sandviken are the top two teams in this league and being way ahead of the other teans one of them will be automatically promoted (the other will end up in the promotion play-offs). Täby are in the relegation zone and I expected Gefle to win comfortably. That was not to be the case though. 0-0 at half-time and an even game so far. Early on in the 2nd half Gefle managed to score, 0-1. Both teams then had a few chances to score but the final result at Tibblevallen today was 0-1. I could leave Täby knowing I have now seen a match at every ground in the top three divisions in Sweden. There will undoubtedly be a few new grounds in Division 1 next season for me to visit and this is apparently an eternal project! ![]() Entrance North End East side South End West Stand West Stand Players and officials entering Kick-off Gefle fans Pyro Pyro and smoke View of play West Stand West Stand |
