TrebyGround: Lindvallen Visits: 1 Date: 31st May 2024 Match: Treby IF - Lönsboda GoIF 1-1 (Division 6 Skåne Norra) Attendance: 70 At first I was not planning on visiting a game on Friday evening but when I noticed Treby would host Lönsboda at Lindvallen in Division 6 Skåne Norra I changed my mind. In the afternoon there were heavy rain showers and even some local lightning strikes in northern Skåne but those disappeared and as I arrived the weather was really nice. In 1989 Loshults IF and Killeberg merged to form a new club. With Loshult having previously merged with Hökön, the name of the new club was to be Treby IF (three villages). The club play their home games at Lindvallen in Killeberg and as far as I know the former ground/idrottsplats in Loshult is not in use anymore. Loshult is probably most known for the so called Loshultskuppen in 1676 when local rebels/freedom fighters (“snapphanar”), supportive to Denmark, robbed a Swedish military transport and got hold of the Swedish war chest. Still today coins from the robbery are found at farms in this part of Skåne. One of the assistant referees at Lindvallen was a former pupil of mine and we had a good chat before the match. Treby and Lönsboda are both mid-table and both really needed a win this evening to push for the promotion play-offs. It was 0-0 at half-time but early on in the 2nd half it was 0-1 followed by an equaliser two minutes later. Lönsboda had most of the possession but failed to score and the game ended 1-1. I enjoyed my visit and with Snapphanevallen in Lönsboda being a ground I still haven't visited I hope to go there later on this season. ![]() Lindvallen South End West side North End Players entering Kick-off East side East side View of play View of play West side West side West side View of play ![]() Half-time |
