Some days are tougher than others. Meeting up with fellow football fans in Utrecht and watching an exciting game of football is tough? No, that part of the day was fun. After the match, on my way from Utrecht to Schiphol Airport I suddenly receive an SMS "Your flight has been cancelled. Best regards SAS". Lots of thoughts going through my brain. When I reached the airport I eventually managed to find the SAS service desk. Queued for an hour. No re-booking to other carriers flying to Copenhagen on Sunday evening but instead a night at an airport hotel, dinner and a booking for the 10.25 flight on Monday morning.

The day started in Utrecht, where I stayed the night after travelling up from Düsseldorf the night before. Kick-off at Stadion Galgenwaard was at 14.30 but since my contact, who arranged the ticket for me, is a good friend of the secretary of the Utrecht supporters club I was invited to their bar inside the stadium. This kind invation meant I was at the ground by noon. Once at the bar I recognised som familiar faces. Danny and his friends from the European Football Weekends were there and my contact (Frans, www.footballfans.eu) showed up as well. There were fans from several countries having a good chat over a drink. Are there better ways to spend a Sunday afternoon? Maybe watching football, we did that as well.

When the actual match started PSV were by far the better team and they also scored the first goal. Utrecht did their best to hold off PSV, sometimes it looke like a handball match. When a PSV player was sent off I thought Utrecht might get the upper hand. They didn´t. Instead Ola Toivonen got a PSV a penalty. It was scored off the post and 2-0 to PSV. Utrecht managed to score with a bicycle kick to make it 1-2. The last 10 minutes were the best of the game. Utrecht did their best to find another goal but PSV snatched an important win. My fourth and final game on this tour was over. 15 goals in 4 matches is not bad all. Having your flight cancelled is though.......
